The Peninsula Aquatic and Recreation Centre (PARC) was officially opened in September 2014. The $50m sports and aquatic project, located in Frankston, was delivered in association with an independent project manager on behalf of our client Frankston City Council together with state and federal governments.
The completion of the project program, which was duration of 33 months, is a key milestone for the Williams Ross aquatic facilities portfolio.
“The successful and timely completion of PARC is a testament to our level of detail and service in the aquatic field; one we are passionate and dedicated to working in”, Director Chris Hose said.
The centre provides a complete suite of aquatic facilities including an indoor 50m lap pool with movable boom, learn to swim, recreational and warm water exercise program pools together with two major multi-person water slides. Dry facilities include 900 square metres of Gymnasium, three flexible program rooms, a Wellness Suite, Crèche and all support facilities.
It includes $3.5m sustainable design measures including co-generation, air-pressurisation HVAC systems, a thermally separated glazed façade system, a 400,000 lt rainwater harvesting system along with other customised and integrated ESD building features.
